Registration Options

Workshop Registration, Room, and all Meals

• We hope that most attendees will select this option, as it will allow for the greatest amount of interaction during the workshop. The fee includes:
• All workshop scientific programs (Friday night, Saturday, Sunday, Monday morning)
• Breaks and evening mixers
• Dinner on Friday, three meals on Saturday and Sunday, and breakfast and lunch on Monday (including New England lobster boil on Sunday evening)
• Double occupancy housing in dorm-style accommodations at the Swope Center at the Marine Biological Laboratory. When registering, you may wish to specify a roommate; if not, a roommate of the same gender will be assigned. For further information about the housing at the MBL, follow this link and view the Swope Center.

Workshop Registration and Meals Only

If you prefer single accommodations, or intend to travel with your family, you should register with this option. The fee includes:

• All workshop scientific programs (Friday night, Saturday, Sunday, Monday morning)
• Breaks and evening mixers
• Dinner on Friday, three meals on Saturday and Sunday, and breakfast and lunch on Monday (including New England lobster boil on Sunday evening)

If you select this option, you are responsible for finding your own hotel/motel accommodations. There are a limited number of options in the village of Woods Hole. There are more options in the town of Falmouth, about 5 miles away.

The reduction in student fees is made possible by a grant from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases and by the National Skeletal Muscle Research Center at the University of California/San Diego.

Travel Stipends

Full-time students and professionals-in-training (post-doctoral fellows, medical residents, etc.) are invited to apply for the workshop’s Trainee Travel Stipend Program. Four award programs are available, through a grant from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases and support from the National Skeletal Muscle Research Center. Please see the application form for more details.

Important Note

Because of the need to communicate housing lists and other information to the Marine Biological Lab, all registration must be in advance. The final date for pre-registration will be August 15, 2009. No on-site registration will be possible under any circumstances.
