Sabbatical Opportunities

Program Description

The purpose of the NSMRC funded sabbatical program is to support junior-mid career level faculty for a six to twelve month sabbatical in one of the Center's core areas of expertise. As this program is designed to generate future extramural support for the participant, priority will be given to individuals with excellent research questions, some research experience, and departmental and university level support at the home institution. Individuals interested in this opportunity should complete the sabbatical form and contact the NSMRC.

Dates and Deadlines

Typically, sabbaticals will begin in September or March and extend through August. Due to the amount of planning and coordination necessary to make these experiences productive, interested applicants should contact the NSMRC as soon as possible and plan to submit their completed applications 12 months prior to the planned start date.
